Shaping a more sustainable future

We celebrated 10 years of Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification in September, marking a significant milestone in our journey to promote responsible forestry and more sustainable outcomes for all.

Pulp is our single largest raw material input, and we recognise the importance of promoting responsible sourcing practices to help protect the world’s forests. Today, more than 100 products across the Tork, Purex and Handee brands produced at our Kawerau manufacturing facility carry the FSC label.

Reshaping the conversation

Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s award-winning #BloodNormal campaign, Libra once again inspired women with #LiveLiberated – its newest purpose-led campaign, which launched in September 2020.

Live Liberated is a rally cry to Australian and New Zealand women of all ages, skin tones and backgrounds, empowering them to shake off the societal pressures they face daily and encouraging them to break the cycle of expectation, all the while tackling period stigmas and taboos.

Shaping better community health

Our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan, launched in July, shapes the way we engage with Indigenous peoples, businesses and communities for meaningful improvements to health equity.

Asaleo Care is the first manufacturer in the personal care industry to implement a Reconciliation Action Plan, joining more than 1,000 organisations in Australia committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, businesses and communities.

Shaping up our workplace health and safety

COVID-19 has presented unparalleled challenges for the safety and wellbeing of our people. We took swift and comprehensive action to protect the health of employees and safeguard the continuity of our operations.

We transitioned office-based employees to work from home, and ensured our operational teams could continue to work safely through a variety of physical distancing measures, enhanced personal protective equipment and hygiene practices.
